Remember that scene from Raising Arizona when John Goodman breaks out of prison? That's how I feel. Not that our trip back home was prison-like exactly, but we're finally home and sleeping (a lot) in our own beds and It. Just. Feels. So. Good.
We arrived home yesterday and our staff has off until Tuesday, so in between unpacking and taking care of the kids, I am resting and readjusting to the altitude. So far I just have a headache, I am super tired, and I am dizzy. The Boy races around the yard and then leans forward with his hands on his knees and wheezes. The Girl is sleeping like a champ and drinking a lot of milk. It seems to hit us all differently - except for the terminal flatulence (see post from June) - although if I was racing around the backyard I am sure I would wheeze, too. It is like all the altitude training we did this winter (your summer) was for nothing.
I will post pictures and stories when we get situated and back to normal.
Note: Remember when you "fall back" tomorrow morning, we don't. We'll be one hour ahead of the East Coast and four hours ahead of the West Coast.

Additional Pictures from MH's Dancing Expedition
Here are some more pictures of MH's trip to Coroico. If you didn't see the video footage yet, check it out below (August 23rd post). It will hurt your eyes and you stomach muscles.

Put a Lime in the Coca...
So MH had a tough week at the office. Here he is wearing his new orange and coca necklace. I think this might be the funniest thing I have ever seen.

Pat and Stanley

I don't know how we found this, but check out Pat and Stanley. This is The Boy's new favorite thing to watch. We must have seen it 300 times since Thursday. He says "Do-a-gin" (do again) at the end. You can see more of their videos here. Click: Movies>Pat and Stanley/tv series>the hippo. You can also check them out on YouTube.

Now THAT's Entertaining!
The following may lead you to believe that we have a lot of time on our hands. We don't. When we do have time to spare, usually one of us has our hands full with The Girl and the other one is folding laundry or picking up The Boy's toys. So every night, part of our routine is to watch a Netflix. Gigi got us a membership when The Boy was born and along with every event of the 2006 Winter Olympics, we watched 50 some videos his first three months. We're not anywhere near that record for The Girl, but here are a few of our favorite television series rentals (We're obviously making our way through the British series).
Long Way Round - Ewan McGreggor (of Star Wars and Trainspotting fame) and his real-life best friend, Charley Boorman, ride their motorbikes around the world from Great Britain to New York by way of Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Russia, Alaska, Canada. Besides being extraordinarily hysterical, the video-diary style series is exciting, terrifying, and did I mention extraordinarily hysterical. We just ordered their second road trip video, Long Way Down, from Scotland to Africa.
Couping (BBC version) - You can't watch this one with your parents. It seems like the British version of Friends, but instead of a couch at a coffee shop, they sit on a couch at a bar. It is mainly about 6 friends and their sex lives. Our favorite character is Jeff. You can watch it on BBC America, but it is best to start from the beginning so you can appreciate Jeff.
Robin Hood (BBC version) - Is there anything better than a homeless hottie and his band of merry men? A Clue: No. Jonas Armstrong (grrrrowl). That's all I have to say. MH likes the humor and the action sequences. To each his own. I'm not bein' funny... Season 2 starts in April on BBC America, so get started now! (If you watch the show this entry will - hopefully - be funny.)
The Wire - Don't look at the HBO page or a recent Newsweek if you don't want Season 5 spoiled. I don't want to tell you much except that it is the greatest show on television. It is about cops, drug dealers and so much more. MH likes Season 2 because it's about the port system in Baltimore. I like Season 4 about the schools.
Rome - Another HBO series. Why couldn't they do more than 2 seasons? I mean the Roman Empire lasted more than 2 seasons! Each episode is like a movie. You definitely can't watch this one with your parents either - unless you hide their glasses.
And our old favorites: Veronica Mars and Alias.

Four Eyes
The Boy is so entertaining to watch because he is so funny and he doesn't know why. That doesn't stop him from laughing hysterically, though. From walking around in a maternity bra to dancing to the Three Tenors, he cracks us up by doing the simplest things. The Boy has had these glasses for more than a year (Thanks Gigi!), but he wouldn't put them on until today. I think this is the funniest thing I have ever seen. I am having trouble uploading video of him running around in the glasses calling The Dog, "Doodah" but hope to figure it out by the weekend.
