It has been brought to my attention that I don't update Thumb-kin as often as I used to. I don't have any excuses, just one simple fact... our life has been crappy for about 7 months and we haven't had much that we wanted to share with anyone. It gets kind of depressing to "update" people on the stress and disappointment we've been experiencing. We're hoping that we've turned a corner now that 2010 has arrived. The Boy has made amazing improvements with his potty issues. Although each day is a struggle, if we are vigilant he is usually comfortable and much happier. It is going to take time, but hey, we came back to figure this thing out, right?

We're slowly unpacking boxes and hope to be settled by the spring. We've remodeled the kitchen and as I type there are a couple of cold dudes working in the snow on our new deck! We're also looking forward to the kids' birthday (birthdays?) next week. So not everything has been depressing and tiring.

The Girl is growing like a weed. She's going to be 2 next week and she's wearing size 3... having gained 8 pounds in 7 months! She's talking up a storm and her main concerns are "What's that no-oise?" and "Where's Dah-son?" She currently has croup (lots of fun) but is still a sweetheart. The other night MH gave her a cup of water and she reached out to him and said, "Papa, do you need water?"
